Oh Canada your fat ass bumps me…
The courts in the Great White North have ruled that the human chunks eh must be allowed to have 2 seats for the price of 1 on flights within Canada. As if airlines don’t have enough problems nibbling at their bottom lines they now have to have to allow the big bottoms to chomp on the airline profits.
I have to say I earnestly hope this idiocy doesn’t come to the States since I don’t believe in fat rights. About the only right I think tubbies have is the right to either stuff their faces or not. I hate people touching my arm on the armrests at the movies ,so obviously I don’t like ass,arm and belly rolls in my lap as I fly the friendly skies. I fear one way or another the government may very well be fooled stateside though and therefore I offer the following.
I’ll be the first to admit that airline seats and by that I mean the coach seats are pretty much “un North American” in design. I just have to be consistent in my world views though and stand by the reality that the airlines are private entities. That they are for profit entities. That possibly what the airlines need to do now is relabel the seats as space and like luggage or cargo have you pay for the space you occupy.
Ala carte I offer that I checked Canada Statistics and apparently the USA and Canada have similar waist lines unfortunately.

How bloody stupid. I think people who are big enough to take up two seats should have to pay for two seats. When we flew back from Italy there was a very fat couple in front of us. Rob said, “Christ, I hope they don’t nip off to the the toilet and try and join the mile high club; the plane will crash”.

Well, it appears that the Aussies have beat both Canada and America in the fat contest. Now, they are the fattest nation.
