No matter what you think of Iran you should confront the reality that the Iranian position against the Taleban and the history between the two nations is what it is. The Iranians don’t dig the Taleban and have a set precedent that shows they are willing to fight them.

He campaigned on a willingness to talk to Iran,how lucky is this guy ? An AQ knucklehead and some fucknuts in Pakistan have given Barry the in of a lifetime. He can possibly use this (as can the Iranians) to establish something resembling a normalization of relations. Joint operations against terrorists in Afghanistan ! ? Iran wins via crushing narcotics traffic and easing the diplomatic / economic stranglehold thus helping Iran prosper and squelch some domestic dissent. Obama gets some unique help in Afghanistan,a key policy for him supposedly, and would go down in history for a diplomatic coup. WOW !
AQ are irrelevant to the Taliban nowadays, although they probably always were. Probably a desperate attempt to get noticed. But Obama is going to have a tough time talking to Iran if Clinton is his Secretary of State.
