1. Would you ? If you ask questions you in a forum you should pony up an answer. 2. There is something to be said of the black experience in America. On one hand it is sad that the idea of black nationalism,separatist, or pride are morphed into some synonymous jumble. I would rather a country without hyphens.Some communities such as the black community in light of history etc. have a stake in identifying problems and solutions themselves.Ergo the “black” version of the comments you made.
3. With my black and white referee shirt on…no pun intended. the comment by wickle -”Either show me some evidence of his separatist activities, or anything that he’s actually done wrong, or give it a rest.” is a sound one relative to the thread.

40% of the state’s voters are registered Undeclared. We (I’m one of them) can vote in the GOP or Dem primary. When they say “likely Democrat/Republican voters,” it’s all guesswork.

I had phone surveys asking me about the Democratic primary, even after answering how likely I was to vote in it with “No chance in hell.” I then tended to say that I’d vote for Gravel or Kucinich, depending on what mood I was in.

I’m afraid that NC is right about the independence of our votes, though … we handed a bunch of establishment people the votes, which is sad. I blame the transplants from MA, but I don’t think that they number enough to have done the whole thing.

As for Obama’s church — it might raise some questions, except that he has a public record! The same kind of thing goes for Romney about the race policies of the LDS — he has a business and government record, and is clearly not a racist. Or Huckabee and Creation — in ten years as governor, he never tried to stop schools from teaching about evolution. The questions aren’t worth asking anymore.
