America the…In Need of a Leader Part Two

0.jpgI had my nearly obligatory blogosphere Presidential post here. In closing I said I would make my pick and share it with ya’ll.

First and foremost the Democratic Primary will not be the primary I vote in. Also keep in mind that this is for the primary,so I’m entitled for a little dreaming and embellishment. My biggest driving force in making my selection is what I think we as a country needs in the next President. Let me cover a few of those now.

We need leadership of an executive quality. The country is really like a business and in my opinion the “company” is in some trouble. Some hard decisions need to be made and the hardest will be about how to get it done.

We need leadership from a source that believes in the principles of the office and the reality that delegating work will be necessary.

We need leadership from someone who can accept they’re not taking office as a “mandate President “.

It is for these issues and some more not listed that In2thefray officially endorses Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination. I don’t care about the Mormons or the “see-saw” debacle. I do care that he has as strong a stand as any other GOP candidate on the issues. I care that he has integrity and when on point to stand by his decisions he does. (the so called “flip-flops are legitimate alterations of position in line with those he represent at a given time of office.) Ultimately out of the GOP candidates I believe Romney is the only one who can act like an executive. That he is more than capable of being the Executive. I believe he more than any of the others will compile a team that will achieve much progress in the areas of the issues facing the nation and the world.

This is where the embellishment/dreaming part comes in. I further endorse Rick Santorum of PA for VP. I pick Newt Gingrich to head up the health care and education policy measures. I pick Senator J. Webb (D) for Secretary of Defense. I want Bolton back at the UN and I’m mulling my State Dept. choice.

So there it is. like it or hate it,loose all respect for me whatever. Romney ‘08

Now that Tancredo dropped out, do any of the candidates have a true understanding in the war we are in?

Thanks2all for stopping by. @ Daniel thanks for the distinguishing remark. Yeah I think Mitt would make a great executive and giving some of the situations facing us that may very well be the order of the day. I’m repeatedly unimpressed by the “lapses” in his honesty. I think he’s actually working pretty hard to be what “we the people” seem to be telling him.I’ve been lax getting around the wordpress neighborhood of late, hope all is well at the state of america. @ Awake hope the new year brings an upswing for you.

    in2thefray,

Hope your Christmas holiday was better than mine. Wishing you a safe and happy new year, as well.

I concur. At this point ANYONE is better than Huckabee.

    Dems, are not applicable imho.

    Regards,

I concur…. Mitt would make a great executive officer of the US. He has indicated he would continue many of Bush’s efforts. Huckalujah or Thompson would make good presidents, but I doubt good enough. To tackle the bigger issues facing America and its future, I throw my hat in with Ron Paul.

Mitt does have a succesful business record, I don’t know why but he is running strong, personally I think it’s because of his business past and the fact that he’s a good looking guy,,,, that always sell’s…
I am aligned with arc light zero though when it comes to my number one choice, Thompson…

Gingrich and Bolton definately should hold some high positions…

If they are smart, all of them. Even if you feel Mitt wont be tough enough in this war and securing our borders, its a guarantee it will be better than, Hillary, Obama or Edwards.

Mitt has said the right things. Whether he will do it is another story. He will be an upgrade to Bush, thats for damn sure.

I wonder how many of Tancredos supporters will go Mitt ?.

Tancredo dropped out so the best candidate that can fight this war and secure our borders is gone.

Doesnt matter who you pick for Sec of State. That department is a snake pit. Clean it out before you put someone to head it. Condhimmi seemed like a capable person to run it. Now she is tossing Israel under the bus to please the Islamic world. Bolton I think is the only one that could clean out the State Department which I think is more important than being the UN ambassador. The UN is now a proxy for the caliphate. Its a lost cause.

As for the one I support now for president, Romney isnt a bad choice of the upper tier. Huckabee scares me and so does McCain. Rudy and Fred arent bad choices either.

Romey is a good choice and my definite number 2 candidate. He has many outstanding qualities as a man and a politician. The only reason I hold Thompson over Romey right now is that I prefer Thompson’s cavalier and laid back attitude and the fact that he is not a career politician. Policy-wise, I think they are both on par.
