State of the State Dept. Wuss.
Came across this.
“It’s one thing if someone believes in what’s going on over there and volunteers, but it’s another thing to send someone over there on a forced assignment,” Mr Croddy said, to loud and sustained applause from the audience. “I’m sorry, but basically that’s a potential death sentence and you know it. Who will raise our children if we are dead or seriously wounded?” here
Help me out here. If you sign on for foreign service shouldn’t you accept being sent to any foreign country ? Is a State Department hump more valuable than any given young person wearing BDU’s and out on patrol ? Last question and I really want an answer to this one. The anti Bush types want diplomacy. They put forth diplomacy as the real answer. How the hell do they reconcile that with diplomats that refuse to do their job ? Insincere, dishonest and shameful. The thesaurus could get worn out finding words that describe Mr. Croddy and his ilk.

I think the three adjectives you used are sufficient. You cannot reason with the unreasonable…
If I was Pres., I would would show him the door while handing him a pink slip.
